About Us

We feel very lucky to have managed to stay independent and that our involvement in music continues to support us. We've been doing the DIY thing since 1997, after the label we were on went out of business. Since then we've been doing our own recording, pitching, booking, contract review, promotion & publicity. It's given us a lot of insight into project planning as well as career planning. Besides making great records here, we'd like to make The Wood and Stone Room a hub and a retreat for independent artists. We know how much a creative and nurturing atmosphere can add to everyone's performance in the studio. We can also offer some piece of mind if you need help or advice on the mastering, pressing and promotion of your new release. We have all of the resources to help you take your project from the studio to the street.

As recording artists, we've written & recorded 5 CDs; the first on Viceroy Records and the rest self produced & recorded at the Wood and Stone Room. We designed the artwork & managed the radio & publicity promotion for our most recent CD, Five by Five which received international press & national airplay including charting on FMQB. We have toured the US, UK & Germany headlining & sharing stages with John Mayer, Joe Cocker, Aimee Mann, Kenny Loggins & Dan Fogelberg to name a few. Our music has been featured in film & television and we've have had songs cut by MCA recording artists Evangeline & Telarc Records artist Troy Turner. We've both also had the pleasure of being a part of many, many recording projects outside of our own over the past 20 years; singing back up vocals & playing guitars & cello.
